What it is
The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons that control and stabilise the shoulder. Irritation, tendon overload or a tear can cause pain and weakness, especially reaching overhead.
Signs and symptoms
- Pain reaching overhead or out to the side
- Weakness lifting or carrying
- Night pain lying on the shoulder
- Clicking or catching with movement
How physiotherapy helps
Most rotator cuff problems, including many tears, respond very well to a progressive strengthening programme with hands-on support. We build the cuff and shoulder-blade control back up so the shoulder works smoothly.
At Meridian, care is always one-on-one with an AHPC-registered physiotherapist. We explain things clearly, give honest advice with no upselling, support your insurance claim and keep our pricing transparent.
